Etymology[]
Korlia derives from the word "køhrlōa", which means "people" in Old Korlian.
History[]
In 1778, a portion of land (which would be Korlia) emerged from the ocean after being submerged for hundreds of centuries. It would later be occupied by the German Empire. This would last until 1918 when the German Empire collapsed.
The island would remained unclaimed until in 1939, where it was colonised by Nazi Germany. During World War II, Korlia would be used as a secret base for the Germans to plan attacks and invasions. Finally, Korlia gained independence in 1945 from Germany after World War II ended.
