Leighton "Lofty" Acord, sometimes credited as Leighton Acord and Lofty Acord, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer, best known as the vocals of the soul band According to Acord. He is the brother of sound designer and editor David Acord. When his work with According to Acord, his work with other artists, as well as his solo career is totalled, he had more US top 40 singles than any other artist during the 2010s. His most successful singles from the period include "The Horizontal Way", "It's the Opposite", "I'm Not Putting of What You're Saying", "War Among the Stars", "I'm Not Your Slave" and "There's An Impostor Among Us", as well as "Toodles' Theme" for Oh, Toodles! and "Poofty's Theme" and "Phineas Wifflebat" for the 2014 made-for-television movie Deflated: Phineas Wifflebat's Mile High Smile Time, co-produced by Toonocracy and Williams Street for Adult Swim.
