Ligronla, officially the Kingdom of Ligronla (Ligronlese: Kungadømma Ligrønla, Viharetian: Kunjingazkunta Vihareți) is a Nordic country in Northern Europe, part of Fennoscandia. The capital city is Høfutburg (Viharetian: Pāhekōvunge). The population is 1,539,580 and 91% of the population live in urban areas.
Germanic and Baltic people have inhabited Ligronla since prehistoric times. Ligronla became part of Sweden when an independent Swedish state was formed in the 12th century. The Black Death wiped out over half of Ligronla's population in the middle of the 14th century. The Hanseatic League threatened Scandanavia's culture, economy, and languages, causing modern-day Ligronla to be part of the Kalmar Union in 1397. After the dissolution of the Kalmar Union in 1523, an independent Ligronlese state was formed. When Ligronla became involved in the Thirty Years War on the Reformist Side, Ligronla established its personal union with Sweden at the beginning of the war, lasting for 200 years. In 1818, Ligronla ended its personal union and Ligronla became fully soverign under its own monarchy. In 2018, Ligronla celebrated 200 years of being fully soverign.
Ligronla is a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary democracy. Legislative power is vested in the Rikesdihet. It is a unitary state, and maintains a Nordic social system. Ligronla is a member of the United Nations, the Nordic Council, the Council of Europe, the Wolrd Trade Organization, and the OECD.
