Lilian Pond (b. 27th October 1968) is a semi-retired Jetanie-born Kuboian-based television presenter, actress, model and singer of English heritage. She is best known for her work with TVVC and Kubokartoonz. At the age of nineteen she was the first announcer for Vision Network when it launched in January 1988.
Biography[]
Pond was born on 27th October 1968 in the north east of Jetania to English parents, who immigrated to the country shortly after World War II. As a teenager, her family moved to the Dominion of Kuboia due to a lack of job opportunities in Jetania at the time.
In 1987, Pond applied for a role as a television presenter for Vision Network. Out of several of applications, she was one of the few chosen due to her knowledge on European media and television. When Vision Network launched in January 1988, she was the first announcer to speak for the channel. After taking up acting in 1991, she ended up quitting her presenting role due to finding both jobs together "too much". In spite of this, she made a one-off return as a continuity announcer in January 2023, narrating the final links before analogue television came to an end.
