Below is a list of main, supporting, and guest characters that appear in the American animated series Alexventures.
Main characters[]
Alex Ventura[]
Alex Ventura (voiced by Corey Bringas in the pilot, Kyler Mitchell in seasons 1-3, Aaron Cooper from seasons 4-5, Zachary Alston from seasons 6-8, and Morgan Randolph-Powell from seasons 9-10) is a 11-year-old entrepreneur and billionaire. Abandoned at an orphanage before his first birthday, Alex spent much of his childhood being forced to fend for himself, which he credits with helping to develop his business skills. At age 5, he started his first business - a lemonade stand - and by age 8, he had amassed enough savings to purchase a run down mansion.
Personality-wise, Alex is a normal 11-year-old boy - he enjoys video games, comic books, and skateboarding, and is friends with many kids his age. Despite his vast wealth, Alex is selfless, and is willing to use his disposable income to help his friends, although this has the undesirable side effect of making him fairly easy to manipulate and/or exploit. Alex also lacks a lot of social skills due to his background as an orphan, and is often the target of bullying at school. However, he is still down to earth and usually acts as the voice of reason in most plots.
Lucas Chapman[]
Lucas Chapman (voiced by Dustin Roth in the pilot and season 1, Maya Mills from seasons 2-5, Dane Torres from seasons 6-8, and Nicholas Pitmann from seasons 9-10) is Alex's best friend and one of his classmates. He is a lazy, irresponsible boy who cares deeply about his social standing and often attempts to become popular at school, with little to no success. Lucas is a bit of a smart aleck with a tendency to make quips about people behind their backs, although he does have a more genuine side, which he usually only shows to Alex and (later on) Molly. Also, in spite of him being Alex's best friend, there are times when Lucas seems to wish Alex could embrace his wealth more.
One of Lucas's main traits early on is his desire for a romantic relationship and his attempts to get a girlfriend, which usually go hand in hand with his schemes to become popular. From seasons 1 to 2, Lucas is romantically interested in Kaitlyn, who very clearly does not reciprocate his feelings. This aspect of his personality is abandoned in the season 3 episode "Lovestruck Lucas", in which he starts a relationship with Molly, leaving behind his feelings for Kaitlyn.
Ben Douglas[]
Ben Douglas (voiced by Wyatt Delacruz in the pilot, Stanley Boyle from seasons 1-4, Milo Waller from seasons 5-8, and Evan Galloway from seasons 9-10) is an African-American boy and one of Alex's friends. He is an athletic and highly competitive kid who is particularly good at sports such as basketball and football, as well as video games. Though he can be very cutthroat at times, Ben cares deeply about fairness and refuses to resort to cheating under any circumstances. Likewise, he is usually the first to call one of his friends out whenever they're doing something wrong, and tends to catch onto Roy Ripley's plots earlier than the rest of his friend group.
Rusty McDowell[]
Rusty McDowell (voiced by Rob Paulsen) is a farm boy who is a member of Alex's friend group. He is best known for his extremely high IQ of 314 and his many inventions, which are made from junk but work surprisingly well. He specifically has a passion for Rube-Goldberg machines, having set up several around his farm to perform numerous chores for him. Rusty is very friendly and open-minded (albeit playfully snide at times), and is slow to anger, only really getting mad when someone has hurt his friends and/or his little brother Dusty.
Roy Ripley[]
Roy Randall Ripley (voiced by Trevor Harrell) is the CEO of the unsuccessful Ripley Motors and the main antagonist of the show. He is an arrogant and deranged billionaire whose primary goal throughout the series is to unseat Alex as the richest person in Schulzburg and take over his properties so he can build "the world's largest car dealership" in their place. Described in the show's bible as "the trust fund kid to end all trust fund kids", Roy is extremely petty and spite-driven, and will go to extreme lengths to accomplish his plots, even if they don't directly help him achieve his goals.
Mr. Woodford[]
Robert A. Woodford (voiced by Tom Kenny) is Alex and Lucas's conspiratorial homeroom teacher at P.S. 43. He primarily teaches history, although most of what he teaches regarding the subject is blatantly untrue and ridden with conspiracy theories, such as ones relating to Bigfoot, crop circles and/or time travel. Mr. Woodford is also shown in several episodes to have an unexplained grudge against former US president Dwight D. Eisenhower, often blaming him for various terrible events throughout history, and heavily distrusts Alex due to his fortune. Despite all this, Mr. Woodford is remarkably intelligent, and is shown to care for his students on occasion.
Stuart Knox[]
Stuart Millard Knox (voiced by Lenny Henry) is the serious head of Alex's board of directors.
Recurring characters[]
P.S. 43 students[]
Shawn Wilcox[]
Shawn Wilcox (voiced by Scott Menville) is a nerdy kid and a friend of Alex's. A stereotypical geek, Shawn is bashful, yet smart and tends to get bullied a lot, although he can be assertive if needed. He also has an impossibly long list of allergies which usually prevent him from joining Alex and his friends in their antics, and enjoys playing Strongholds & Skeletons (a parody of Dungeons & Dragons). While he was considered a prominent character in the first few seasons, as Rusty got integrated into the main cast and filled his role within it, Shawn gradually became a more minor character, even briefly disappearing from the show not long after the movie.
Molly Stone[]
Molly Stone (voiced by Daveigh Chase) is an aloof yet meek emo friend of Alex and Lucas, the latter of whom she has become rather close to ever since she started a relationship with him. Aside from Alex and Lucas, she also gets along quite well with Ben, Rusty, and Shawn; in general, she seems to be closer with boys than with other girls (the closest she has been with another girl is with Zoe, who she isn't seen interacting with as often as she is with the aforementioned boys). While Lucas could be at least somewhat of an annoyance to her at times, she is generally nicer to him than Kaitlyn was while Lucas had a crush on her, and she does reciprocate the feelings he has for her.
Zoe Alvarado[]
Zoe Alvarado (voiced by Priscilla Star Diaz), also known by her stage name Z-2-A, is a girl of Puerto Rican ancestry hailing from New York City who moves to Schulzburg and becomes a student at P.S. 43 between Seasons 6 and 7 in the special "The Country Kid and the City Kid". While she becomes popular rather quickly, particularly due to her multiple talents (including singing, rapping and dancing), she is unsuccessful academically (with the rather low amount of education she's received back in her old city not helping), though she does tend to possess a rather sharp (if not biting) wit. Unlike a number of other students at P.S. 43, Zoe cares deeply about her education, and she also really doesn't like failure. She and Rusty soon grow close to one another, with the latter (a farm boy known for his intelligence) helping the former in academics, etc.; the two ultimately gain an appreciation for each other and their respective lifestyles. Aside from Rusty, Zoe generally tends to get along with Alex and most of his friends (including Ben, Shawn, and Molly), but she sees Lucas as more of a frenemy than a proper friend, at least partially due to his lazy and reckless demeanor.
Kaitlyn Hamilton[]
Kaitlyn Hamilton (voiced by Cindy Robinson) is a fairly popular and wealthy (albeit not nearly as wealthy as Alex) kid who gets envious easily, with Alex's fortune being a primary source of envy. She established a lemonade stand at the age of five not long before Alex established his; unfortunately for her, Alex's stand ended up more successful, with Kaitlyn thus having it out for Alex ever since. Since she wasn't abandoned at an orphanage like Alex was, she's never found a need to fend for herself; as a supposed result, though, she hasn’t developed the best business skills when compared to to Alex. Kaitlyn particularly has a hard time saving money, which helps contribute to her struggles at becoming more wealthy. Also, as mentioned above, Kaitlyn does not reciprocate the feelings Lucas initially has for her.
Piper Duan[]
Piper Duan (voiced by Dionne Quan) is Kaitlyn's reserved friend of Chinese descent who tries to help her become more popular and wealthy, though whether or not the latter takes any of the former's advice really depends on the situation. Piper is incredibly selfless with a preference for staying out of the spotlight, and she thus isn't a fan of whenever she herself gets attention from others; she is also very emotionally intelligent and empathetic, with Kaitlyn thus viewing her as somewhat of an emotional support crutch. Piper tends to keep her cool with Kaitlyn, though sometimes the latter's constant desires do stress her out. Outside of her friendship with Kaitlyn, Piper is into arts and nature, and she could be distracted by such things from time to time.
Brandon Mercer[]
Brandon Mercer (voiced by David Kaufman) is a 7th grader at P.S. 43, and the school's resident bully, who enjoys tormenting Alex and his friends. He moves away to El Salvador in the season 8 episode "Day of Farewells" because his dad got a job transfer. Showrunner Emmitt Ellis later admitted that Brandon was retired because "with the rise in anti-bullying efforts, we had no choice but to retire a character that seemingly couldn't work in real life anymore."
Beans and Red[]

Rodney and Claire Chapman[]
Rodney Chapman (voiced by Clancy Brown) is Lucas's workaholic father who runs a bait shop in Schulzburg. Despite his gruff exterior and overloaded schedule, Rodney tries his best to be a good father to Lucas, giving him advice whenever he needs it. He's also interested in camping, and has a tradition of taking Alex, Lucas, and their friends (specifically Shawn, Ben, and Rusty) camping near Halloween, as seen in the "HalloWeenies" pentalogy of episodes.
Claire Chapman (voiced by Lynne Marie Stewart) is Lucas's absent-minded mother. She is completely insane, and is usually totally oblivious to whatever's going on around her, generally focusing more on her tabloids. Claire also has a habit of smothering Lucas with love, something which he tries to avoid, and is stated in multiple episodes to have a job, though her job is never specified within the series itself; in a 2014 Tumblr post, Trevor Harrell clarified that she works as a driver's ed instructor.
The Douglas family[]
The McDowells[]
Bob Smith/Mack T. Ripper[]
Bob "Mack T. Ripper" Smith (voiced by Will Friedle) is a famous actor, and Alex's favorite movie star. He is best known in-universe for starring in the Action Copdude franchise, a parody of movies such as Beverly Hills Cop and Lethal Weapon. While he appears imposing, Bob is actually a very mild person off-set and isn't that passionate about acting or his fame, only putting on the persona of Mack T. Ripper to hide his true personality, though with the encouragement of Alex and Lucas, he eventually builds up the courage to show the world his true self. Bob has an affinity for romance novels and cooking, and is interested in the works of William Shakespeare.
Nigel Shepard/Britman[]
Nigel Shepard (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) is a British actor who "plays the role" of Britman, a superhero who serves as a parody of Superman and Captain America. While he's initially portrayed as a regular actor, it's later revealed that he does actually have superpowers, after which he assumes the identity of Britman and becomes a real superhero. He receives his powers through drinking tea and is weak to hot dogs, in a similar fashion to how Superman is weak to kryptonite.

He is a portly French carpenter who gains power by eating croissants and goes on quests with his brother Jacques (a parody of Luigi) to rescue Prime Minister Parsnip (Princess Peach) from the nefarious Bonobo King (a combination of Bowser and Donkey Kong).
