Loktalya (/lˈɔktɑliːɑː/; Pokyani: Лoктāлиa; Russian: Локталья), officially the Republic of Loktalya (Pokyani: Rэspoбликэ̄ кэ Лoктāлиa Russian: Республика Локталья), is a nation located in western Guznetska. The capital city is Klobsachiv (Pokyani: Клoбsāц̈иv) , and with 7,490,000 estimated residents, contains 33.29% of Loktalya's total estimated population of 22,500,000. Loktalya has land borders with Lathistia and maritime borders with Čelsovakia. Its former currency was the Loktalyan Par, but this was phased out in 2009 in favour of the Lathistani kormark.
Etymology[]
The names origins are unclear. One theory is that it comes from the Old Guznetskan root word "Liktey", which translates to "to flow", and suffix "eyr", meaning "of a nation" or "land". Combined, "Likteyeyr" roughly translates to "river nation". The other major theory is that Loktalya was originally Loktalia, meaning Land of the Loktals.

Loktalya is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. It is a centralised, unitary state, with the title of Kyeser (Kyэsэп, lit. king) having only cerimonial value. The executive authority is vested in the Prime Minister, who serves as the head of government and is appointed by the Parliament following general elections. Legislative power is held by the Loktalyan National Assembly, a unicameral body composed of representatives elected through a mixed proportional system. While the Kyeser holds no formal political power, the monarch retains a symbolic role in state affairs, often presiding over ceremonial events and serving as a cultural figurehead during national holidays and military commemorations.

The LЗБ operates under the authority of the civilian government, with the Prime Minister serving as Commander-in-Chief in practice, though ceremonial command remains with the Kyeser. The military consists of three primary branches: the Loktalyan Air Guard, the Loktalyan Army, and the Loktalyan Coastal Defence Force. Loktalya maintains a policy of selective conscription during emergencies but otherwise fields a professional volunteer force.
