'Love-Colored Master Spark' (Japanese: 恋色マスタースパーク; Hepburn: 'Koiiro Masutā Supāku') is the tenth song in the soundtrack of Touhou 8: Imperishable Night. It is actually a rock remix of Love-Colored Magic from the second Touhou Project game Touhou 2: Story of Eastern Wonderland. It is generally played during the stage four boss if the player chose the Imperishable Boundary team of Reimu Hakurei and Yukari Yakumo.
The song made its first appearance in the eighth Touhou Project game Imperishable Night, with it being played during the fourth stage if the player chose the Imperishable Boundary team.
The song appears again in the 1994 versus fighting game Killer Minecraft: Immaterial and Missing Power as the critical theme in Marisa's stage.
The same stage reappears in the third Killer Minecraft game, with the same thing happening from the first game when the fight gets critical.
A short 8-measure motif of the song appears 80 seconds into the boss battle song Come on! Give 'em the Master Spark!.
Official comments from the .it file:
- This is Marisa Kirisame's Theme.
- At this point, this song isn't all nostalgic or anything. It's an arrange of an old tune from the second game, Touhou 2: Story of Eastern Wonderland.
- I was wondering if this theme still suited Marisa, and what shocked me is that it totally did. It's rare to see someone so unchanged.
- Marisa has 5 themes, but I think this one suits her best.
