Lucasfilm Animation (Japan) Ltd. (Japanese: 株式会社ルーカスフィルム・アニメーション・ジャパン, Hepburn: Kabushiki gaisha Rūkasufirumu Animēshon Japan) was a Japanese animation studio that produced feature films and television series for Lucasfilm Feature Animation, a division charged with spinoff properites from established Lucasfilm characters. The studio was founded on 27 April 1987 by ex-Toei Animation animator Tomohiro Mochizuki and ex-Madhouse animator Keiji Morikawa.

In contrast with Lucasfilm Animation Australia, Lucasfilm Japan's expertise was attention to action scenes as opposed to facial expressions and emotion. As a result, often on direct-to-video Star Wars films, Lucasfilm Australia would be used for the comedic scenes and Lucasfilm Japan would be used for the action sequences. This is evident in both Dark Empire and Jedi Academy: Leviathan.

In 2004, Lucasfilm announced that they would shut down the studio, which then employed 103 local animators and artists. It was explained with: "...after reviewing our business plans and production requirements, we determined we no longer can support this additional production capacity." Completing their last project Star Wars: Joiner King, Lucasfilm Animation Japan closed on 31 December 2005. Thirty members of the staff were supposed to be transferred to Lucasfilm's US headquarters or to affiliates but most of them ended up at Sunrise, Pierrot, Gallop, Tatsunoko Production, Toei Animation, Studio Comet, Studio Deen or AIC due to their lack of English.
