Channel | Res. | Aspect | Short name | Programming |
---|---|---|---|---|
11.1 | 1080i | 16:9 | MTVN HD | NBC |
11.2 | 480i | COZI-TV | Cozi TV | |

11.5 | 480i | CRIMES | NBC American Crimes | |
4.2 | 480i | 4:3 | Antenna | Antenna TV (MTHC-DT2) |
Between them, MTVN and MSTS broadcast the same five services (11.3 and 11.4 on the MSTS multiplex simulcast 11.1 and 11.2 on the MTVN multiplex and vice versa for MSTS). The two stations are not co-sited.
Analog-to-digital conversion[]
MTVN shut down its analog signal, over VHF channel 11, on June 12, 2009, as part of the mandated transition from analog to digital television. The station's digital signal remained on its pre-transition VHF channel 12, using PSIP to display MTVN's virtual channel as 11 on digital television receivers. MTVN is now one of the largest NBC affiliates on the VHF band—and one of many NBC O&Os to broadcast on VHF.
ATSC 3.0[]
On March 27, 2023, MTVN began carrying Antenna TV on its multiplexed signal on behalf of MTHC on channel 4.2 to help free-up MTHC's RF channel 7 for ATSC 3.0 transmission. On March 29, 2023, at 10:01 a.m., MTVN and five other Toad Harbor stations went live on MTHC's new transmitter in ATSC 3.0. With this addition of the ATSC 3.0 signal, MTVN is the only station in Toad Harbor broadcasting from three different full-power transmitters, concurrently. Also, at the time of the ATSC 3.0 launch, Toad Harbor is the first and only Mushroom Kingdom market with all five major English networks participating via O&O stations (as well as Univision O&O, MDTV). On May 5, 2023, MTVN began upconverting the ATSC 3.0 signal to Dolby Vision, becoming the first station in the market to do so.
