The Salerian version of MTV Music was launched on 1 October 2015 as a pay television music channel. The channel is owned by ViacomCBS Networks Saleria.

The channel was launched on 1 October 2015. While MTV Saleria is still airing music programs (alongside with non-music programs), the Salerian version of MTV Music is only dedicated to airing music-oriented programming.
Previously, the channel was used to air programs that were also airing on MTV Saleria, such as Alternative Nation, Chill Out Zone, Hitlist UK, and Party Zone until 2019 (with the exception of Euro Top 20, Hitlist Italia, Hitlist Saleria, and US Top 20).
