Makiko's Announcement was a YouTube video uploaded by SF Animation's Youtube Channel on December 15th 2014. The video was deleted or made
private c2015 for unknown reasons, making the video lost media.

The video was around 2 to 3 minutes long. Research led to finding out what the video was about. In the video, Makiko explains how she wants to be a star anytime soon, becoming the biggest and most famous model of Tamagotchi Planet. She talks about being in movies and music videos. She starts saying that she wants to be more than a star, she wants to be ruler of Guru Guru Town, the video cutting off with static. It is rumoured that she said much more than that, explaining the video length.
The Search[]
The search began in 2018 after a user on the Lost Media Wiki posted about the video on the forums, and how they have been not able to find it for many years.
People had begun to search for the video, looking on Vimeo, looking on Archive.org and even going far as contacting OLM Inc. and Bandai. However, there was no reply from the company. One contacted Akemi Okamura (Makiko's voice actor) and she replied about the announcement video, revealing that OLM Inc., despite the animation of the video, had nothing to do with it. Eventually SF Animation was contacted, however a reply had came saying that they cannot give away their content to unknown people, resulting the search being abandoned for a while.
On September 2020, an image surfaced on the internet showing a picture of the video took with a camera, the user who uploaded the picture had no clue why it was on their old phone. It was soon discovered that the picture was from Makiko's Announcement.
