Man Makes a Petition, What Happens Next is Shocking is a Dhar Mann episode that was released in 2023. It is based on the 2016 Bergend demonstrations that happened from May to June 2016.

Plot[]

The video starts with Derry from the plane on his trip back to Bergend. He still thinks of Hatsune Miku at the time, but when he finally landed back, he tries to research the chart of number of searches for the term "Hatsune Miku" in Ccera, but notices that almost no one searches it. Not just that, but he also realized that his home city needed fixing of tourism, technology, and the path for the future.

Later, at his apartment, he uses his Twitter account to start a petition. His goals were to faithfully gather residents outside to support his plan and to get their time to popularize and familiarize Hatsune Miku into the city and the whole country. At first, he only gets approximately 50 signers, but on the next day, he gets 4000 signers. By the 4th day, he got 10,000 signers to participate, which shocked him and got excited.

A few days pass by, he decided that he will start the first demonstration, by going to a cafe, then telling everyone to write signs about Miku and his goals. He was nervous that people will not notice him, but luckily people understand him and started making signs, which means that his plan worked. They got ready and started gathering outside near the hotel to demonstrate his goals.

The first one was a local success. His video about the first demonstration gained about 550,000 views. He was so shocked by the view count that he almost passed out. A week later, another one shows up, but this time it is even bigger. On the second demonstration, there were 55,000 people that went outside compared to the previous one which had 28,000. That was a huge difference that many news services start reporting about it. Not only that, but the second demonstration also contained cosplays of Hatsune Miku.

By the third week, the craze had went too far which caused 800,000 people to be outside supporting his goals. Derry also started noticing that on every demonstration, no crime is reported, as burglars also join the event. The scene skips to a crowd of people chanting his goals.

In the superstore, Derry's cousin Lymesti hears the public announcement that said that the Autumn Sale has been canceled. Lymesti says to a random person why it got canceled, and that person says that it's because of the demonstrations that are happening at the time. In the next scene, the church session got interrupted by a random worker from Leonis, stating that the church will temporarily be closed due to the ongoing "Hatsune Miku demonstrations". The priest wonders what's Hatsune Miku and the worker said that Miku is a vocal software.

Meanwhile, 2 mute guys from the hospital oversees the demonstrations live on national television. They pull out the phones and uses TTS to talk about the demonstrations, as they think that they don't need sign language. However, seeing that the people don't care about them, they accidentally reveal their voices by saying "What" to the people, causing the people to be shocked and run away from them.

On the 4th week, Derry and Belinski met at a restaurant seeing the news report that the 4th demonstration was canceled due to heavy rains. They both got shocked by the news that they decided to not care about the news for now. Derry tried blaming the weather for canceling the demonstration but to no avail.

A day later, the 4th demonstration happens. In the scene, we see Park, Johnes, Aleksandre and other people watching the sports broadcast. They were about to hit their favorite team's goal, but was suddenly interrupted by a news broadcast about this week's demonstration being delayed to today. They were mad at the city, television channels and the weather for ruining the sports broadcast.

On the next scene, Han and Leisar are at the park, talking about the demonstrations in Pratish, but a Chinese woman comes up and says in Chinese that she doesn't understand Pratish. Han talks back, saying that he doesn't understand Chinese either. Later, Derry was invited to a game show and surprisingly, the host asks what's the name of the blue character from Vocaloid, and he reluctantly asks the answer. When he guessed that it was Hatsune Miku, the crowd was shocked and Derry was given 100 thousand specks.

On Wednesday, Derry posts a video on YouTube about how he managed to make his plan work. He later received positive reception, especially from Ccerish and Japanese people.
