Mark De Leon Jones (born November 2, 1955) is an American voice actor, comedian, entertainer, singer and radio host from New Mexico, currently resident in the Greater Boston area. In voice acting, he has also been credited as Mark Jones, Nicolas Bourbaki and Martin Franco.
He has provided the voice of Slagar the Cruel in Redwall: Tales of the Brave and several other Redwall projects, and has been considered one of the best voice actors for the character next to original portrayer Tim Curry. Mark owns a fursuit of Slagar and has used it in comedy skits on his YouTube channel and at conventions. Mark also has provided over 150 different voices in various Gotaku dubs.
In the 1970's, he released two albums in Europe, Anglophone Frenchman (1978) and Pratfalls (1983) with EMI.
Bio[]
Mark, born in 1955 to a Dutch father and Mexican-American mother, started off in 1976 in Paris, France and performed in various R.A. Releasing English-language dubs of foreign films. In 1985, he returned to the United States and went back to New Mexico wherein he did radio voice-over work and was a afternoon DJ at KZRR (then KRKE-FM), but in 1993 moved to Boston, Massachusetts. He was a morning DJ at WBCN during the mid-and-late-1990's.
