Throughout the month of October in 2003, McDonald's restaurants in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Helvmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) promoted the 10th anniversary of MiniChannel's launch in the region with both a set of Happy Meal premiums and exclusive food items based on Nordic foods (including those traditionally served at birthdays).

As noted above, the promotion included food items derived from Nordic cuisine, mainly for the dessert menu, also varying by country.
- Fødselsdagsboller (Danish buns made with cardamom) with butter
- Miniature kagemand
- Prinsesstårta as pie or McFlurry
- Köttburger (a ground pork/beef hamburger based on the Swedish meatball with a hashbrown on top and sides of cream gravy and lingonberry sauce) (Sweden)
- McFrika (similar to the Köttburger, but based on the frikadelle and served open-faced with gravy) (Denmark)
- Korvapuustit (Finnish cinnamon roll)
- Havreflarn (Norwegian oatmeal cookies)
- Skúffukaka (Icelandic chocolate cake) as baked good or McFlurry
- Tunnsbrödrulle (Swedish hot dog) bites

Unusually, each Happy Meal entitled the young consumer to two toys in one pack (similar to the summer 1997 Happy Meal promotion for Disney's Hercules) along with a CD-ROM.
