Mintered: The Movie is an adult animated action-horror-thriller-dramedy movie produced by 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate Pictures and Film4.

The movie is a spinoff to the Fox animated series Mintered and all the cast members from the show reprise their roles for the film.

The movie debuted in the UK on June 30, 2000 before a release in the USA and Canada on July 14, 2000.

It won an Oscar for Best Animated Film, beating The Emporer’s New Groove and Chicken Run.

Plot[]

Orangebolt has been assigned as part of a school project, to create a somewhat significant invention that would help scientific causes. He chooses to make a device which can transport people between dimensions. His teachers, doubtful, give Orangebolt attitude, claiming it to sound stupid. Determined. he, all by himself, does it anyway. Orangebolt deconstructs a range of house electronics and rebuilds them before filling it with purified petrol. Orangebolt then tests out a new dimension hopping device, setting it to "01", the real world. He gathers the rest of the family to test it out. Somehow, this works flawlessly and are subsequently all sent to an alternate dimension.

The Minters end up in the real version of London, and are stunned to find out that everybody is human, instead of the mixed species of their universe. After finding an apartment Greenwich, Stacker switches on the TV, and looks through the TV channels with a fictional Sky Digital guide, before ending up on Channel 4, who are broadcasting an episode of Mintered. Stunned & shocked, he calls the rest of the family in to see them on the TV. Stacker then waits until the end credits, and writes down the names of the show cast. The Minters then attempt to pinpoint the real versions of locations they are familar with, and then go to 124 Horseferry Road, the HQ of Channel 4, attempting to find the Mintered team, only to find out that they are over in America.
