History[]
This coaster originally operated at Chippewa Lake Park until 2000, when it was dismantled and put into the employee parking lot, where the coaster was rotting, waiting to be scrapped, until 2002, when a deal stroke with Latikuu Edacra that they needed a Mole Miner-themed coaster, suggestions were made, including a wild mouse (which was on the IAAPA poster), a B&M floorless (which footage from Kraken was shown on an ad and even the logo from 2003-200? had what seemed to be Kraken's Dive Loop), and an Intamin Mega Coaster (which was seen on a park map used for the sponsor ad and if you look closely on the 2003 and 2004 maps, you can see it blurred out underneath the final design), but they were running low on budget, so they relocated the coaster to Opryland. However, the trains' padding was ripped up by one of the parks' security dogs, so new trains from Premier Rides were ordered and were used on the ride until the ride got new trains from S&S in 2015, and the old Premier Rides trains were used for parts donors on Poltergeist at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Goliath at Six Flags Taiwan. The ride opened with the park, the ride was the same as the original, but with new paint, new trains, the new theming, and several trim brakes being installed to help control the roughness, lowering it's top speed from 65 mph to just 62 mph. In September 2004, the one piece of track that wasn't repainted (the brake run and station) were repainted to red/brown like the ride itself.
Trivia[]
- The Premier & S&S trains have onboard sound, unlike the original TOGO trains.
