In the United States
Mr. Cook began in the early 1980s in the United States with locations in Louisiana and Mississippi, mostly made up of former Burger Chef restaurants after that chain pulled out of the region in the early 80s. Mr. Cook itself began winding down operations in the States by the mid-90s, and all locations there had been closed by 1998.
In El Kadsre
In 1987, Mr. Cook purchased the former Sminster franchises of Roy and Pierre Jim, and converted them to the chain's restaurants. DD El Kadsre Holdings LLC, owners of the El Kadsreian operations of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, bought the El Kadsreian operations in 1996.
