Dialogue

• Nora Wakeman: XJ-9? (Jenny hears and runs into her closet off-screen)
• Nora: (Nora opens the door angry). It seems that some young robot has forgotten the rules of this household. You were built and designed for only one purpose only, to be the secret protector of the planet, Earth, and mobile unit for the home's Emergency Worldwide Crisis Control Center. When the center detects trouble in the world, you are permitted to leave the house only in secret. Unless you're out saving the world, you should stay in your room. You also must stay hidden away from the existence of the human population, especially teenagers!
• (Nora opens the closet where Jenny was hiding in).
• Nora: Do I make myself clear, XJ-9?
• XJ-9/Jenny: It's Jenny, mom.
• Nora: What?
• Jenny: Jenny! I prefer to be called Jenny, mom! Okay?
• Nora: Ugh!
• Jenny: Well, where's the trouble anyway? All I get to do is stay in this room my whole life, and only get to go out to prevent minor chaos to the planet? So I left my room just to try and give a ball back to a kid, do you hear any alarms going off? No! Even those C-class asteroids, why should I go out stopping them? They just burn up in the atmosphere leaving nothing but a tiny rock.
• Nora: But XJ-Ni-
• Jenny: Jenny!
• Nora: Right, right right right.
• Jenny: Why can't I just go live in the world like normal teenagers do? Would anybody knowing my existence lead to the government taking me hostage? Everyday, it's always the same message to me every morning! (Plays recording while taking and wearing her mom's glasses). XJ-9, good morning! Be sure to check the Control Centre for any crisis, but be back before 12:45 P.M., and don't let any human see you! (normal voice). And all I get to do to know people is online, with a blog only? That is so low-class! I wanna have real friends, and hang out like every other teenager in Tremorton. But not that anyone would wanna hang out with a super-powered hunk of metal like me. (uses laser to destroy mirror).
• Nora: Oh, honey, I understand how you feel. Your powers are still developing, and it's still bound to be a confusing time. But, when you get a little bit older, you'll finally see things my way. Now be a good robot and check those monitors.
• Jenny: Yes, mom.
• Nora: That's my XJ-9.
• Jenny: My name is Jenny.
• (Jenny sighs while she walks to her record player).
• Jenny: I just wish someone would understand how I feel.
• Brad: I wish so too.
• Jenny: Huh? (Jenny turns around to see Brad gone, she walks and closes the window, and plays an Enigma record, which is Out From The Deep).

• (Brad is outside of the Wakeman residence looking through Jenny's window).
• Brad: Okay, that's the robot, she must be charging. Hmm... If I can just... (Brad silently opens the window). Bingo!
• (Brad jumps in her room, and bangs his head).
• Brad: Augh! (loudly).
• Jenny: (Wakes up). Wha-? (Activates built-in flashlight on head) Who's there? Show yourself!

• Brad: So, I overheard you saying something about a, "metal stomach". Is that true?
• Jenny: Yeah! My mom gave it to me so I could experience what eating's like, the only problem is that it's lactose-intolerable.
• Brad: Well, since you have a metal stomach, here is...
• [Brad puts down a huge burger on a tray in front of Jenny].
• Brad: …The Mega Sized Joey Burger! They say nobody's ever eaten it fully before, but since you have a metal stomach, I'll bet you can finish it, Jenny!
• Jenny: You bet I will!

• Nora: XJ-9!!! (furious)
• (Nora comes out of her car angry at Jenny).
• Nora: Young lady, I cannot believe you! What is the meaning of this?!
• Jenny: Mom, it's-
• Nora: No buts, young lady! Or should I say, soon-to-be dismantled robot!
• Jenny: What?
• Nora: Did you really think I wouldn't know about any of your current activity. I had accessed your memory after I discovered your holographic fake you put in your room. Encountering the human population, using a disguise to fit in, opening a bank account without my permission, even leaving your own room?! I tried to warn you but you didn't listen! You have left me no choice! I am going to dismantle you permanently!
• Jenny: But Mom, you can't just-
• Nora: (grabs Jenny and drags her to her car). I said no buts! I will wipe everyone's memory of your existence, and you will never see the light of day or the dark of night ever again!
• Dean Richardson: Now just wait a minute here! (Nora stops for a moment) Are you the, Noreen Wakeman, former scientist for the Skyway Patrol?
• Nora: Wait. How do you know that?
• Dean: Don't be ridiculous, I have read almost every magazine featuring you on the front cover. Are you saying Jenny, or, XJ-9 as you call her, is one of your creations?
• Nora: Indeed, it is, but you will forget all abo-
• Mall Performer: Hey! I recognize that girl, she's the girl that gave me a cheque of 7-k that I used to open my own record label, and the girl I saw busting out sick moves at the arcade!
• Brit: And I recognize that deviant girl from the mall that I never knew was a robot.
• Tiffany: Yeah! I even overheard that girl talking about some, "Metal Stomach", which could possibly explain why she was the first person to ever finish a Mega Sized Joey Burger. Though, to be honest, we'll make an exception just this once.
