The New Edo War (新江戸戦争 Shin Edo sensō), also known in New Japan as the Anti-Monarchy Agression War (反君主制侵略戦争 Han kunshu-sei shinryaku sensō), was a conflict fought between New Japan under the presidency of Kouji Kawaguchi and Asuka's Imperial Movement, the pro-monarch movement led by Asuka and backed by the British Empire, Japan and Russia over the Taii Bill, the law that cracks down pro-monarchs in New Japan. The war began on March 15, 1912 and lasted until April 10, 1914, when the pro-monarchs emerged victoriously and Kawaguchi resigned as president and defected to San Francisco in the United States.
Following the war, New Japan was dissolved after 80 years of existance and Asuka, the British Empire and Japan agreed to split the territory into two new nations; the Dominion of Georgeland led by the diarchy of George V and Yoshihito and the Empire of Sentan, led by Asuka.
