Napoleone Alessi (June 20, 1947 - February 1, 1988), better known as Nick Alex, was an Italian singer who gained popularity in Brazil after moving there at age 14. He was one of Wágner Malyan's first star artists, and was best known for his 1977 hit "Deixe-me ser seu amigo". He died in 1988 from AIDS, following the release of his fantasy concept album A aventura de Leopoldinho, which had a sequel released by his nephew Giovanni Battista Caffi, better known as Nick Alex Jr.

Biography[]

Nick was born in Pisa, Italy. At the age of 14, he and his family moved to Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. In 1974, he signed to Gravações Wágner.
