It was operated by a joint-venture of both MTV Networks and Coreclam Network Limited, until CNL ending partnership in 1994.

History

Nickelodeon was launched on May 7, 1985 during the Toralaq regime. It is the first television channel dedicated to children to launch in the Toralaq Republic. Prior to that, children stuck to Saturday morning cartoons on terrestrial stations. At the time, only 8% of the population owned cable TV. Handful of cable providers provided Nickelodeon and other Viacom channels.

On 1987, with the launch of TBC Children, Nickelodeon started to gradually decline, and stagnated in the 1990s. After the dissolution of the Toralaq Republic on October 23, 1999, Nickelodeon feared it would shut down, but the new YinYangian Government allowed them a new license.

With the premiere of SpongeBob SquarePants on December 2, 1999, Nickelodeon's ratings skyrocketed. It was the top kids' channel in YinYangia, until being surpassed by Cartoon Network in 2014.
