Notable events in El Kadsre in the 1960s. The 1960s was marked by division and warring. Racism against Maoris increased due to the Maori Shock of 1958. West El Kadsreian vice-president Robert Gilbert started the segregation program, aimed to deport all Maori people living in South Hokushi to the New Zealander territory of North Hokushi. In 1962, East El Kadsre president Hiroshi Kayos’ wife Miku Kayos was killed in the MI5’s assassination attempt of the president. As the result, martial law was declared in East El Kadsre, effectivily turning East El Kadsre into a totalitarian state, and lasted until the MI5 agent was executed. In 1968, West El Kadsre invaded East El Kadsre. West El Kadsre, led by Michael Vlokozu, then invaded the pro-Kayos North El Kadsre. Vlokozu then attacked Screencold and Line, Sentan, and Mahri. On November 11, 1969, the nations signed the UVS Creation Treaty and the Declaration of the Creation of the UVS, forming the Vlokozu Union that would rule El Kadsre until 1989.

1960

• January 20 - West El Kadsre President Edward Gibson was assassinated with a tanto by Ayumu Watanabe on live television. Otoya Yamaguchi seemed to be inspired by this in his assassination of Inejirō Asanuma.

• May 5 - First Sears in El Kadsre opens.
• July 17 - EEKTV launched.
• October 20 - An order-in-council is declared in West El Kadsre. Thousands of Maori people living in South Hokushi are deported the New Zealander territory of North Hokushi in the following months.

1961

• February 10 - Hiyuki Motors established.
• March 14 - The government of the United States creates the Cliffstown Safe Zone to prevent tensions between the West and the East from escalating
• April 13 - 1961 North El Kadsreian coup d'état. The communist government led by Imari Tomeo was overthrown in the East El Kadsre-backed coup and they are replaced with a pro-Kayos government led by Tara Fujimoto.

1962

• July 25 - Berry Avenue premiered on TTV.
• August 21 - Hiroshi Kayos' wife Miku Kayos is killed by MI5 agent Walter Paul, during the assassination attempt of Hiroshi Kayos.
• August 22 - Following the assassination attempt, Kayos signed Proclamaition No. 2842, placing East El Kadsre under martial law.
• November 2 - Walter Paul was executed for attempted assassination and murder of Miku Kayos.
• November 3 - Martial law ends in East El Kadsre after Kayos heard that Walter Paul had been executed.
• November 18 - Telstar Electronics was formed

• January 20 - El TV Kadsre 1 premiered Berry Avenue.
• January 21 - Regal Group Network founded.
• March 1 - Full-time color broadcasting was launched in West El Kadsre

1964

• February 15 - 1964 Capulco bombings. Thought to West El Kadsreian guerrillas but never proven.

• March 19 - The first KFC in El Kadsre was opened in Balan, El Kadsre City

1967

• February 24 - 1967 West El Kadsreian presidential election. Michael Vlokozu wins the landslide victory in the election. North El Kadsreian president advises Kayos to increase military expenditures after the election results come in.
• July 13 - July 13 plot: Takehiko Maeda and Richard Giles were killed while Michael Vlokozu survives in the assassination attempt led by Hiroki Sakamoto
• September 22 - 1967 EKIFF El Kadsreian Football Championship: The first EKIFF football tournament opens in Georgeland.

1968

• April 29 - El TV Kadsre Television Network was reincorporated from Mashibai Co, Ltd.
• Sometime in July - First McDonald's in the El Kadsreian Islands opens in Eirabourne, East El Kadsre.
• November 2 - Invasion of East El Kadsre starts.
• November 2 - Three hours later, East El Kadsre declares war on West El Kadsre.
• November 5 - Cliffstown Wall destroyed by West El Kadsreian forces.
• November 20 - Battle of Eirabourne.
• November 24-29: In the span of five days, West El Kadsreian forces capture several cities in East El Kadsre. Kayos is enraged and calls his soldiers cowards.
• December 2 - West El Kadsreian soldiers arrive on the outskirts of El Kadsre City. Brutal urban warfare ensues in the next 11 days.
• December 13 - Kayos surrenders. He was then sent to the Ikeda Islands, where he lived for the rest of his life with his family there.
