OctaDish is a Philippine pay television provider owned and operating by Octagon Satellite Corporation (50%) and GS Media Network (50%). It launched on May 17, 1994. Their rivals are SkyCable, Destiny Cable (both owned by ABS-CBN), G Sat and Cignal Digital TV. It is the most largest and popular pay TV provider in the Philippines.

History[]

OctaDish released the first digital pay TV set-top box in November 2002 with the help of El Kadsreian DTH developers.

OctaDish was first offered to have HD channels in March 2006 with the live transmission of EKM International Music Fest ‘06, with the launch of 3 HD channels two months later. The second was SkyCable to have HD in September 2008.

OctaDish was first offered to have 4K Ultra HD channels in February 2018 starting with Postpaid plans.

OctaDish signed deals with Xfinity to bring X1 and Xfinity Stream to Philippines while its localized version of Xfinity Stream is named as OctaDish Stream.
