Open the Icebox! is a children's television show produced by Minivision AB for MiniChannel, broadcast from 1993 until 2008. The program featured numerous short animated series as segments headed by MiniChannel's Nordic mascots presented with live-action puppetry.
Premise[]
MiniChannel's mascots live inside an igloo up in an icy tundra, where every day is a rocky one as they debate other what to cook, bake or simply prepare as the dish, meal or dessert of the day. In doing so, whilst gathering ingredients, various short cartoons act as interludes (being let out of the titular icebox) followed by more segments of the protagonists getting into comical situations.
In the end, despite everything, they manage to get the desired food of the day made to differing results.
