The Playstation 2 console was released in July 2002 in Croeya. It was first distrubuted by Croeyan GameWest then various Croyean PS2 distributors. All Croeyan PS2 units are NTSC-J and made in Japan and where modded to have modchip to play bootleg PS2 games. Also, the Hard disk drive has later added to all Croeyan PS2 units to play bootleg PS2 games from Hard disk drive.

The first PS2 video games was Tekken Tag Tournament and iBall Evolutions was released since its launch.
