Playtime Planet is an American-Canadian live-action children's edutainment series produced by Doggy Day Productions and NHK International in association with Nickelodeon and RKO Network. The series is based on the Japanese television series Miitsuketa! (みいつけた！). The series is filmed at the company's studio, Doggy Day Studios in Brooklyn, New York for the studio segments and animated at Kitty Katz Animation in Vancouver, British Columbia for the original cartoon segments.
The show began broadcasting in the United States on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. block in 2009 and on the aforementioned block's channel counterpart in 2010. It also aired on RKO Kids' Tiny RKO block in 2011 and on the Tiny RKO Channel the same year. Meanwhile in Canada, it aired on Treehouse that same year.
It's also currently airing with a Canadian-French dub on Télé J and in reruns on Télépetite.
