RGN is an El Kadsreian TV commercial channel owned by Regal Group Network. It was launched on February 7, 1959 as Regal 9 and was rebranded into RGN in April 30, 1976. It is the second most-watched television channel in El Kadsre after El TV Kadsre 1.
History[]
The channel was launched on April 30, 1976, via RGN-TV channel 9 Okudaka-El Kadsre City and RGG-TV channel 9 Glonisla. During that time, it mostly airs drama, children, comedy, imported and local shows, initially from 5:30 am to 12:30 am from 1976 to 1982, then 5 am to 1 am from 1982 to 1997, 3 am to 1 am from 1997 to 2003, then finally broadcasts 24 hours a day since 2003.
