Redvale, officially known as the Federal Republic of Redvale (French: République Fédérale de Redvale) is a country in the eastern part of North America. It shares maritime borders with Magisteria, Minecraftia, and the United States, with a total land area of 382,081 km2 (147,522 sq mi). Redvale's capital and largest city is Newcastle.
Beginning in the 16th century, British and French expeditions explored and later settled along the Atlantic coast. As a consequence of various armed conflicts, France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America in 1763. In 1881, Redvale was formed as a federal dominion of six provinces, with more provinces conquered by the French being taken by the dominion.
Redvale was heavily involved in the second World War as the country was split into two for the sake of a geopolitical tension between the world's two superpowers - the United States and the Soviet Union. Redvale was split into the Federal Republic of Redvale, generally known as West Redvale, and the Redvalian Democratic People's Republic, known as East Redvale. After the fall of communism, Redvalian reunification saw the former South Redvalian provinces join the Federal Republic of Redvale on the same day where the former East German states joined the Federal Republic of Germany (3 October 1990). Redvale is a federal semi-direct democracy under a directorial republic, with a five-member Federal Council constituting the federal government of Redvale.
A highly developed country, Redvale has one of the most largest economies in the world in terms of nominal GDP. It's advanced economy is one of the largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade networks. Redvale is part of several major international and intergovernmental institutions or groupings including the United Nations, NATO, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Commonwealth of Nations, the Arctic Council, the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, and the Organization of American States.

Indigenous peoples[]
Indigenous peoples in present-day Redvale include the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, the last being a mixed-blood people who originated in the mid-17th century when First Nations people married European settlers and subsequently developed their own identity.
European colonization (1579-1881)[]
British colonizers arrived in 1579, setting up a settlement in the populous Glendale province. This led into tensions with the indigenous tribes, which led into a native uprising in 1585 which was a huge failure as the British easily took the uprising down.
In the following year after the failed native uprising happened, the French arrived after an agreement with the British. Redvale was divided into two: the North being under British control and the South being under French control.
Redvalian Civil War (1871-1881)[]
10 years prior to it's independence, tensions grew as demonstrations for independence began in 1871, these demonstrations of independence were all led by Vespasien Milford, who is Redvale's national hero and first President and Prime Minister. Despite the demonstrations being peaceful, they were took down with no remorse.
In 1875, Milford, with the help of the Redvalian Army of Hope, declared a civil war on the English-controlled Redvale. Milford's army were surprisingly advancing over the more powerful English-controlled Redvale, and in 1877, the British surrendered from the civil war but it wasn't over as the French were still controlling the southern part of mainland Redvale. It took four years for the most bloodiest civil war in the country's history to end on 22 June 1881 with peace treaties from the British Empire and the French Republic.
Independence and First Republic (1881-1945)[]
Redvale was declared independent and President and Prime Minister Vespasien Milford proclaimed the Federal Republic of Redvale. Elections were held in January 1882, with the Redvalian Nationalist Movement winning in a landslide victory.
Contemporary era (1945-present)[]
After the Nazis surrendered, ending the second World War. Redvalian Communists started to dominate South Redvalian politics which led to the Redvalian split in 1945, West Redvale is controlled by a democratic government while East Redvale is controlled by the communist government. Redvalians would spend their lives for 45 years, divided into two governments; a democratic and a communist. In the same day Germany was reunified, East Redvale's provinces joined the Federal Republic to reunify Redvale after 45 years of division.

Climate[]
The Redvalian climate can vary between the localities, from glacial conditions on the mountaintops to the often pleasant warm climate at the southern region. There are some valley areas in the southern part of Redvale where some cold-hardy palm trees are found. Summers tend to be warm and humid at times with periodic rainfall, so they are ideal for pastures and grazing.
Government and politics[]
The unicameral Federal Parliamentary Assembly of Redvale is located in Newcastle, the country's capital and most populous city. Redvale is a federation under a semi-direct assembly-independent directorial republic.
