Regrets (Ostlandic: Beklager) is the second studio album by Ostlandic singer-songwriter Danyl Hoffland. It was released in 2 May 2009 under Skyrocket Records, and distributed by Universal Music Group outside Ostland.
A gloomy-ambienced alternative pop and R&B album, the album describes a hard time after a break-up among other melancholic scenarios. The album was acclaimed by its composition, the beauty and honesty of its lyrics and Hoffland's vivid, heartfelt performance in each track. It was awarded with the "Album of the Year" in the Ostlandic Grammys 2009.
The album experienced an exceptional and massive success. The album's CDs and vinyls got sold out in Ostland after three days surpassing the label's expectations. Then the album went number one on digital platforms. It was also reported one of the most illegally downloaded albums from the year, and from history, with 3.9 million ilegal downloads worldwide.
Three of the four album singles peaked atop of the Ostlandic Top 100 and the four of them were certified multiple times Platinum, and upon the album's release, many other of the tracks reached the Ostlandic charts without prior promotion or radio release.
