Requiem Darkness is a Japanese cyberpunk noir media franchise created by Moto Oda, aka Requiem King, and illustrated by Konishi Osami, aka Requiem Queen.

During a random late hangout night, childhood friends Oda and Osami were watching a bunch of mystery, noir, action and cyberpunk films, such as Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Twin Peaks, Reservoir Dogs, and The Terminator. When they woke up the next night, they both had a crazy idea. Creating a universe set in the future, with elements from said films.

- Requiem Darkness - The original manga which ran from 1996 to 1998. Super Jump ran the series, while Viz Media in the United States translated and released it.

- Requiem Darkness: 2088 - A 95 minute anime film released in 1999. Produced by Sunrise Studio 7, A.P.P.P., and Gonzo. Bandai Entertainment in the United States licensed it and translated it with Ocean Studios producing the dub.
