Sentinel Komersial Televizya (commonly known as SKTV) is a Barokian free-to-air television network. Launched on 15 April 1982, it is the oldest privately owned television network in Barokia.
It is the most-watched channel in the country and competes primarily with NKB TV1 and Channel 9.

Building up[]
On April 18, 1979, the Barokian government passed The Independent Television Act, which formally allowed the establishment of private, non-government owned television networks.
Immediately after the act was passed, Media Sentinel, the largest newspaper and magazine company in Barokia was granted the license to launch the first commercial channel in the country. Media Sentinel was already the owner of the popular Barokian newspaper, Sentinel. Media Sentinel also had major connections to the film industry, owning a partial stake in Barokiya Film.
Launch[]
On 15 April 1982, Sentinel Komersial Televizya would officially launch. During its first few years, its programming schedule primarily consisted of acquired British and American programming, with some older Barokian shows mixed in.
