Salisha Sankoh (born August 5, 1972) is an American journalist who is the co-weekday news anchor of WDCR Capitol News in Washington, D.C. alongside Frank Addonizio.

Early Life

Salisha was born in Koidu Town, Sierra Leone, and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. She graduated with honors from Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia and attended the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.

She started out with WRPH-TV in her native Philadelphia as a fill-in reporter in 2001. In 2003, she relocated to Denver, Colorado and worked with KWGN-TV until 2006. She worked in San Diego, California for XETV, where she was nominated for three local Emmy awards, until 2011, when she returned to the East Coast and became an anchor for WDCR-TV in Washington, D.C.
