Sentan (Japanese: 尖端島共和制, Hepburn: Sentan-tō kyowasei; Hungarian: Sentánország), officially the Republic of Sentan, is a island country located in central Aritonesia. El Kadsre and Mahri are Sentan's neighbouring countries. English, Japanese and Hungarian are its official languages, and its capital and largest city is Fusa. Other major urban areas include Aihigata and Ténpest.
Aihikian-speaking peoples have inhabiated Sentan for at least a thousand years. As part of the Conquest of Aritonesia, various Japanese settlers colonised the area as well as Austro-Hungarians immigrating to the northern part of the island. Sentan became part of New Japan upon its independence from the Tokugawa Shogunate in 1835. Following the New Edo War, the Sentanese Empire split from New Japan, becoming an imperialist colonial empire which owned various parts of Aritonesia. When the empire lost to the KSR and Mahri in the Eight-Day War, it transitioned into the Sentanese State, losing most of its former territory and entering an economic depression.
Sentan signed the UVS Creation Treaty and the Declaration of the Creation of the UVS, thus becoming part of the newly-formed Vlokozu Union. Upon the Vlokozu Union's collapse in 1989, Sentan became an independent country once again as a commonwealth realm. In the 1995 elections, ethnically Hungarian Konrád Barta was elected prime minister, declaring the State of Sentan on July 25th, 1995, leading to a civil war that lasted almost 7 years. The State of Sentan was dissolved on March 10th, 2003 with it reinstating its Commonwealth realm status and former government.
Sentan is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy as it is a Commonwealth realm. The head of the country is the president, who holds office by virtue of their ability to command the confidence of the elected House of Commons and is "called upon" by the governor general, representing the monarch of Sentan, the head of state. The country is a commonwealth realm and is officially trilingual (English, Japanese and Hungarian) in the federal judistriction. Sentan has five administrative divisions (provinces), with Sentántól-Északra being the only one with Hungarian as its sole official language. Sentan's growth has been stunted by its turbulent past and its civil war, but its quality of life is beginning to rise and Sentan's economy is growing. It is a member of numerous international organisations, including the United Nations (UN), the Commonwealth of Nations, the Aritonesian Treaty Organization and the United El Kadsreian Nations.
History[]
First Years: 1835-1914[]
Sentanese Empire: 1914-1950[]
Sentanese State: 1950-1969[]
After losing to KSR and Mahri in the Eight-Day War, the ruling Asuka royal family was executed by the El Kadsreian Army and the Sentanese Empire became the Sentanese State. Three weeks after the creation, their economic crashed, starting their 13-year economic depression. Sentan was the one of the poorest states in North America and they blamed the newly-formed Republic of El Kadsre on their economic depression, as they took away many resources from them after the war.
In 1951, Sentanese forces attempted to assassinate Hiroshi Kayos by setting the El Kadsre City Hall ablaze, where Kayos participated in the Koto concert. Kayos and his family, along its high ranking officials and most of the audience managed to evacuate the hall before it went into flames. Two perpetrators, Shin Mizuki and Ichiro Abe, who are Sentanese soldiers, were arrested and deported back to Sentan.
In 1968, as part of Michael Vlokozu's three-year plan to create the Vlokozu Union, Sentan was invaded by West El Kadsre.

In February 29, 1992, the police raided the Sentan Government House and arrested the then-Prime Minister of Sentan, Shin Sekai. Immediately after Sekai's arrest, Rajmund Venczel was elected as the next prime minister of Sentan. Shin Sekai was found guilty of coercion and abuse of power and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Sekai was released in 2017.

This led to a political civil war that lasted 6 years. Barta had links to the ethnically Hungarian rebel group Gyönyörű Földünk, led by Gábor Horváth. Among the attempts to calm tensions included the Smile Sentan Music Peace Festival in 1998, 1999 and 2000, organized by the Sentanese Socialist Party during their rule. On March 10, 2003, the State of Sentan was dissolved following the invasion of Fusa. Gyönyörű Földünk surrendered on March 15, 2003 during the midnight hours after losing to the Sentanese military with El Kadsre and Mahri's support, and the group's leader, Gábor Horváth (1955-2003), was executed in Mahri on September 19, 2003.
