Sheze (Ulakisonian: Шезе), abbreviation of Shehıqır Zedyasanıbidăn (Ulakisonian for City of the Government; Ulakisonian: Шехъqър Зедіасанъбидӑн; [ʃehəqər zedʲasanəbidɛn]), is the capital and the largest city of the Nesionytan country of Ulakisonia, and the most populous city in the archipelago in general. Sheze has a population of around 4,859,433 as of 2022, and is a vital political and economic center of the country. It is also a popular gateway to the Nesionytan Islands for entrepreneurs and tourists.
Plans to establish a new capital came to be in the early 1950s during the civil war, as means to spread centralization and development more evenly. The new capital was set to be built in a more neutral area, specifically in the southwest, where there was genuinely less conflict at the time. Constructions began with aid from Australia and Isandarual in January 1952, the same time it was established by merging nearby towns and villages into a single settlement. The project was named "Shehıqır Zedyasanıbidăn" by prime minister Jonah Hessanuri. After constructions were almost completed, the city ultimately replaced war torn Sigiyan as the capital of Ulakisonia in 1962. Several refugees from southern areas of the country began to migrate in the mid-1960s, resulting in the city's tremendous growth.
Sheze is the largest and most successful planned city in Ulakisonia, being home to offices of countless local and international businesses. It is also an enormous political and cultural center. The city is also noted for its modernist and neo-futurist architecture, similar to Brazil's capital Brasília.
