Slapshot is the 1989 NES version of the 1984 Advantage Artworx/Superior Quality Software game of thesame name ported by Introware from the Amstard CPC version and it was released by Bandai in the El Kadsreian Islands and LJN Toys Ltd. in the United States (with an official NHL license, rebranded NHL Hockey). The music and sounds from the Commodore 64 version was used instead of the Amstard version and it were converted by Eeli Ikäheimo using the Introware C64 Conversion Sound System engine.

The NES version is the same as the Amstard CPC port, but the graphics are different in order to fit the NES' resolution and it was programmed using an Acorn Electron.
