Sony Crackle is a YinYangian pay television channel owned by both Sony Pictures Television and Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment.

It was launched on March 30, 2019, after the video streaming platform was sold to Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, although the platform itself is available in YinYangia.

It airs original series from the Crackle platform. Chicken Soup for the Soul launched the channel so Crackle shows would attract more viewers.

History[]

On March 28, 2019, Sony Pictures Television sold most of its streaming platform, Crackle, to Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment. Crackle is one of the most popular streaming platforms in YinYangia, and their shows are very popular there.

Two days later, to gain more viewership, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment launched Sony Crackle, with the co-ownership by Sony Pictures Television.

Even though Sony sold its remaining stake to Chicken Soup for the Soul on December 15, 2020, Sony still co-owned the channel.
