Spectrum Nederland (formerly Het Greeny Kanaal) is a dutch channel owned by Disney Channels Worldwide and Talpa TV, however, the channel is not available in Belgium and Luxembourg.


In 1994, Robert Stainton signed an agreement with John de Mol to launch a Dutch version of The Greeny Channel, the channel was to be a sister channel to the upcoming SBS 6 channel, on November 22, 1995, the channel launched at 19:00 PM with the dutch premiere of Greeny Phatom (which was also aired on SBS 6).

GreenyWorld Studios Nederland also signed a deal with Toei Animation to dub all the 153 episodes of Dragon Ball into dutch to air on Het Greeny Kanaal, GreenyWorld Studios Nederland also signed a 5-year contract to air Nickelodeon series in dutch on Het Greeny Kanaal.

Het Greeny Kanaal was competing against Kindernet at the time, and it was getting more popular, it turned out that Dragon Ball was the most popular series at the time, the adult block Oudertijd was also getting popular with the older teens and young adults demographic, Oudertijd was the first to air mature anime on dutch television, with series such as Tenchi Muyo, Gunbuster and Oh My Goddess!.
