The SNES and Century 16 versions were developed by Introware, while the Genesis, Game Gear and Master System versions were developed by Probe Software, and the Game Boy version by Beam Software. The SNES, Century 16 and Game Boy versions were published by Acclaim Entertainment, while the Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear and Sega Master System versions were published by Acclaim's Arena Entertainment label.
As for the SNES and Century 16 versions, the music is composed by vetaran Introware composer Eeli Ikäheimo, while the Genesis, Game Gear and Master System versions were composed by Matt Furniss of Krisalis Software Ltd., and the Game Boy version is composed by Beam Software composer Marshall Parker.
The gameplay is the same as in the arcade versions, but downgraded to fit the screen's resolutions. The Game Boy version is however being played in black and white.
