Sydney Cannonball was a wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Sydney in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, Australia. The ride opened in 2005, with part of it's footprint using the former spot of The Beastie, and was built by Intamin as part of their prefabricated wooden roller coaster series. Intamin contracted Martin & Vleminckx to build the ride, while Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters built the trains.

The ride closed in 2011 due to low ridership, before Six Flags ultimately decided to have Rocky Mountain Construction give the coaster a makeover. The coaster reopened in 2013 as NXT Bush Beast, a I-Box wood-steel hybrid coaster that is a "grandson" of The Bush Beast.

Trivia[]

  • This ride often broke down in comparison to other Intamin prefab wooden coasters, likely due to Martin & Vleminckx having rushed construction to open it in time for the rebrand from Wonderland Sydney to Six Flags Sydney.
  • This attraction never operated outside of the December, January and February months, unlike The Bush Beast, however, NXT Bush Beast operates year-round, like The Bush Beast.
