SABE (Serviço Americano Brasileiro Esportivo) was a sports channel in Brazil owned by Grupo Wágner.
History[]
In 2001, Grupo Wágner decided to air American sports in Brazil with parcery of MLB, NFL and NBA.
In 2005, SABE got the rights to MLS too, in 2006, the program Horizonte Esporte Clube moved to SABE.
In 2010, the channel got the rights for NHL.
The channel started to die in 2011 because it was airing non-american content: Serie A Tim (Italy), Copa do Brasil (Brazil), Libertadores (South America), Premier League (England) & UEFA Champions League (Europe) to soccer, UFC (Worldwide) to Boxing, CFL (Canada) to Football, LMB (Mexico),LMP (Mexico), CPBL (Taiwan) & NPB (Japan) to Baseball and also the London 2012 Olympic Games!
It got discontinued in 2014.
