TechGamez or TechGamez 1 (TG1) is a 16-bit fourth-generation home video game console developed and sold by Technang in 1987. It was Technang's first console, and the first fully released home console system with an integrated FM-synthesized sound chip. It was even known for its PC transformation component.
The original TG1 (together with its original case design) was designed to be a CD-ROM console. Its processor, the Technang PCC66 (a 65C816 with 48-bit memory) was capable of storing 4 MB of information, which made it capable of storing 4 MB of digital games. Its expansion slot was used to add a PCI expansion card.
The console is primarily known for its most famous game, Turbo Boy, which was released in 1989. It had a large cult following among retro gamers. However, it was later supplanted by the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
