Terosideye is a dual Grass-Dragon Pokemon introduced in Pokemon West and East in June 1990, replacing Slashalcon. It evolves from Echoak starting at level 36. It is the final form of Batwig.

Terosideye is a bipedal Pokemon that resembles a vampire bat. It has a mane of fur on its neck, with green inner ears and part of its wings are pink while the rest is green. It hands are green, its underbelly is pink and it has an almost unseen leaf-like tail.

Pokedex Entry

West: When Terosideye cries, it helps the flowers bloom. They are very territorial and hate being too close together for a long time.

East: No one likes to go near when this Pokemon starts crying. They get headaches ten seconds after they hear it.

Boomburst (Level 1 or upon evolving) The user attacks everything around it with the destructive power of a terrible, explosive sound.

Screech (Level 1) An earsplitting screech harshly lowers the target's Defense stat

Draco Meter (Level 1) Comets are summoned down from the sky onto the target. The attack's recoil harshly lowers the user's Special Attack stat.

Dragon Claw (Level 1) The user slashes the target with huge, sharp claws.

Tackle (Level 1) A physical attack in which the user charges and slams into the target with its whole body.

Leer (Level 1) The user gives opposing Pokémon an intimidating leer that lowers the Defense stat.

Absorb (Level 1) A nutrient-draining attack. The user's HP is restored by half the damage taken by the target.

Gust (Level 1) A gust of wind is whipped up by wings and launched at the target to inflict damage.

Quick Attack (Level 12) The user lunges at the target at a speed that makes it almost invisible. This move always goes first.

Razor Leaf (Level 17) Sharp-edged leaves are launched to slash at the opposing Pokémon. Critical hits land more easily.

Wing Attack (Level 21) The target is struck with large, imposing wings spread wide to inflict damage.

Sonic Boom (Level 26) The target is hit with a destructive shock wave that always inflicts 20 HP damage.

Agility (Level 34) The user relaxes and lightens its body to move faster. This sharply raises the Speed stat.

Wood Hammer (Level 38) The user slams its rugged body into the target to attack. This also damages the user quite a lot.

Aerial Ace (Level 40) The user confounds the target with speed, then slashes. This attack never misses.

Hyper Fang (Level 43) The user bites hard on the target with its sharp front fangs. This may also make the target flinch.

Dragon Rush (Level 52) The user tackles the target while exhibiting overwhelming menace. This may also make the target flinch.


  • Terosideye closely resembles a wyvern.
  • It replaced Platoxic and Slashalcon as the new starter Pokemon evolution after the 1990 starter Pokemon update.
  • It seems its wings look larger than its pre-evolutions'.


Terosideye is based on a wyvern dragon and a vampire bat.

Name Origin

Terosideye's name is based on "Chiroptera," which is the scientific name for bat, "seed," and "eye."
