'To Heart' (Japanese: トゥーハート, Hepburn: 'Tū Hāto') is a series of action-adventure games developed by Drillimation Studios in collaboration with Rareware. The series was published by Nintendo for the first game, as the second game was published by Microsoft following the acquisition of Rareware in 2002, along with Bandai Namco Entertainment. Originally the series was going to be a lighthearted arcade platformer, the series is noted for its insult humor, as well as the typical dark topics commonly found in PG-13 films.

The first game was a critical success on the Nintendo 64 and received a cult following for its humor and parodies. The series has two installments with a third title in development.

Controversy

As Drillimation was known for their family-friendly games, the series has been subject to controversy over its content. When the first game became popular on the Nintendo 64, there have been reports of players under 13 buying a copy of the game. In El Kadsre, the games are rated R15+, restricting their sale to minors under 15 years of age. Despite this, there have been numerous reports of minors paying strangers to buy them a copy of the game, and some minors had hacked credit cards to order the game online. Several schools across El Kadsre have punished underage students under the El Kadsre Media Rating Act for owning a copy of the game. In a 2000 poll in El Kadsre Daily Inquirer, 91% of children voted having Hiroyuki's persona from the game.
