'To Heart' (Japanese: トゥーハート, Hepburn: 'Tū Hāto') is a series of action-adventure games developed by Drillimation Studios in collaboration with Rareware. The series was published by Nintendo for the first game, as the second game was published by Microsoft following the acquisition of Rareware in 2002, along with Bandai Namco Entertainment. Originally the series was going to be a lighthearted arcade platformer, the series is noted for its insult humor, as well as the typical dark topics commonly found in PG-13 films.
The first game was a critical success on the Nintendo 64 and received a cult following for its humor and parodies. The series has two installments with a third title in development.
Games
- Dinosaur Rollercoaster, a canceled arcade game that was planned for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis in 1993 as the original concept.
- To Heart, a game released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997 as a reworked version of Dinosaur Rollercoaster.
- To Heart 2, a game released for the Xbox and PC in 2004.
- To Heart Beginnings, an upcoming prequel game for the Xbox One and PC scheduled for release in 2017.
