The Kraftwerk Movie/Trivia

• The film began production in August 2006 using the band's spare time and wrapped in July 2007.
• The film entirely uses rotoscoping. During the film shoot, every action by every character in the movie was videotaped by the band and the voice actors (some which were wearing makeup or prosthetic makeup and clothing) against a bluescreen on HD film and digitized. It was then rotoscoped through the use of Flat Black Films' Rotoshop software.
• Aside from the band, the voice actors had unique character voices:
  • Tammy (a lady the band meets while in Toronto) is voiced by Denise Oliver and sounds similar to Maurecia, Mina Beff, and Kitty Ko's voices.
  • The Dark Lord Krewtfark is voiced by Frank Welker and sounds similar to G1 Megatron's voice.
• The story centers around Kraftwerk going on a quest to find a golden microphone located in a buried spot next to Area 51. However, the band is pursued by federal authorities, led by the villainous General Sean Altman (voiced by Sean Altman), who believes they are investigating Area 51 and the crash of an unidentified flying object.
