The Pierre Péladeau Company (French: Société Pierre-Péladeau, also known as the P. Péladeau Company and commonly abbreviated as PPC) is a Quebec-based Canadian media conglomerate that owns a wide array of media outlets, as well as an internet service provider. PPC owns the TV network Central Television Network.

History[]

Founded by Pierre Péladeau in 1976 as Quebecor Media, the company first went into the field of printing. The company purchased then-independent owned TV network Central Television Network, in 1986. He managed the company until his death in 1997.

As of June 2018, The Pierre Péladeau Co. fully owns Quebecor Media, while CDP Capital d’Laurentienne Investissements Inc. (a subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Trois-Rivières, St. Lawrence's pension fund for Trois-Rivières province) previously owned an 31.8% share. On 2017, Quebecor had announced its intent to buy out the remainder of the Caisse's stake for LT$1.69 billion in cash and stock.

Since November 9, 2020, the company has been renamed The Pierre Péladeau Company because it says that this company is now worldwide.
