Thordsjenheim, formerly known as Thordsjenhavn, is a city and district in West Styroe county, Ostland. As of 2022, it had a population of 864,857, being the fourth most populous city in the country, and the most populous in the Ostlandic west. The city lies in the westernmost shore of the Bay of Visterset, at the mouth of the Lyben River.
Thordsjenheim is the home of the Oil industry in Ostland, which also helped the develop of other types of industrial strenght as the Chemistry, pharmaceutic, textile, printing, among others. The city is well known for being the fastest growing city in Scandinavia, in terms of population and development, doubling its population from 1968 to 2019.
Etymology[]
The city is named after the Germanic paganism god, Thor. The official meaning for the name is '(the) city of the sons of Thor'. It was originally founded by the Norse Viking as Þórrsonarska, which has the same meaning. Its Christian name was Franciskussen, which is unused since 16th century, but which is still the name of the Catholic Diocese of Thordsjenheim. The city also has the nickname of the 'Thunder City', also related with Thor.

Thordsjenheim is one of the fastest developing cities in the country in most of areas but specially in the transport systems. Thordsjenheim has an international airport, the Thordsjenheim International Airport, located 14km north of the city.
Thordsjenheim has one of the largest and modern ports of Ostland, the Franksheim Port. It was originally established in the early 10th century by norsemen, but has remained as one of the busiest ports in Ostland, and the main source of income of the entire Western Styroe region for decades.

The Thordsjenheim Metro is the newest rapid transit system in Ostland, being first opened on 20 November 2021, operating with only 7 of 13 stations, and fully opened on January 2022. The first stone was laid on January 30, 2016.
The construction works for a second line started in June 2019 when the first stone was laid. It will run southwest to northeast the city and connect with Line 1 at downtown through the Midland station. It was finally inaugurated in 18 September 2024.
