Tori Corporation was founded in July 1977 and manufactured parts and hardware for arcade games in Japan. That same year the company produced its first video game, Space Gunman. The company later became a video game only company and later produced the Densha Pilot, Exelrate and Counter Attack franchises. By the mid to late 1990s, the company was suffering financially and closed their video game division after Space Gunman 2 in 1999.
