Tsukiese people (Tsukiese: ソチカせららせ Hepburn: nihonjin) are a nation and an ethnic group that is native to Tsuki and makes up 98.5% of the total population of the country. Worldwide, approximately 567 million people are of Tsukiese descent; of these, approximately 289 million are residents of Tsuki. People of Tsukiese ancestry who live outside Tsuki are referred to as moonlivers (もららみりらひいすと), the Tsukiese diaspora. The term ethnic Tsukiese is often used to refer to Tsukiese people, as well as to more specific ethnic groups in some contexts, such as Yekkey people and Roccnryan people. Tsukiese are one of the largest ethnic groups in the world.
Tsukiese speak the Tsukiese language.
Tsukiese believe in the moon. They have a set of supporting customs, like:
- Wearing moon-related shirts
- Say the sun's too "shiny" to be liked
- Sleep at morning and wake up at night
- Being very creative
