Tugaganda is the capital and largest city in Vicnora. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited city in the El Kadsreian Islands, being founded in 172 AD. Tugaganda is the political, economic, cultural, educational, and financial centre of Vicnora and one of the major cities in Aritonesia. It is home to the Parliament of Vicnora and the monarchy's residence.
History[]
Tugaganda was settled in 132 AD and incorporated in 172 AD. In 523, it became capital of the Vicnoran Kingdom. The 1471 Vicnora earthquake caused severe damage to the city, and about 90% of the infrastructure was destroyed, but the city didn't sink into the ocean.
During World War I, Vicnora was on the side of the Central Powers. In 1917, Allied troops entered Tugaganda and started to destroy the city, but the king surrendered before it got worse.
On September 23, 1977, around 11 days after the death of Hukina, the then-last king of the Vicnoran Kingdom, Vlokozuian troops entered Tugaganda, putting a stop to the Vicnoran Kingdom's 1454-year-long existence and its monarchy became dormant for 40 years.
As a result of the Vlokozuian invasion, Vicnora became the poorest state in the Union. From 1977 to the early 1990s, Tugaganda was known for its homelessness problem and a centre of crime. Many Vlokozuian/El Kadsreian gangs had their headquarters in Tugaganda.
However, these problems were mostly solved with the end of the Vlokozu Union in 1989. By 1993, the crime rate in the city had dropped by 70%.
In 2007, the monarchy was restored following the 2007 Vicnoran coup d'état. There were celebrations held all across the capital.
